IUPUI Campus Health Flu Vaccines
IUPUI Campus Health is pleased to announce that starting Wednesday, Oct. 19, free flu shots will be available to all faculty, staff and students. Faculty and staff can get a flu shot at Campus Health in Coleman Hall or one of the many Flu Shot Outreach Clinics organized by Campus Health. Students can get a flu shot at Campus Health, a Flu Shot Outreach Clinic or Campus Center Student Health.
All faculty, staff and students will need to show a Jagtag. Students will also be asked to show an insurance card, though they can get a free flu shot regardless of whether they have an insurance card.
For specific information regarding clinic times and outreach clinics, faculty and staff should check the Campus Health website. Students should check the Student Health website for information on Student Health hours and the outreach clinics.

The Campus Center Student Team is back with a day of treats and tricks. Spooky performances, free warm drinks, games, giveaways and scary movies will be provided for staff and students to enjoy.
The festivities will take place Oct. 19 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Campus Center. Email firstname.lastname@example.org with questions.
Drug Take Back Day
IUPUI will hold Drug Take Back Day in the Campus Center Lobby from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 20. Bring in your old, expired prescriptions for disposal -- no questions asked.
These prescription-drug "Take Back" events, sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency throughout the country, are an opportunity to discard unused drugs, which might otherwise be shared or sold for illicit use.
Sponsored by the Fairbanks School of Public Health, the IU Police Department - Indianapolis and the Attorney General’s Prescription Drug Abuse Prevention Task Force.

'Death of the Mechanical Man'
The IUPUI Arts & Humanities Institute presents the premiere of the new audio-visual science fiction experience "Death of the Mechanical Man."
Developed by Big Robot in collaboration with Brian McCutcheon, this work brings together silent film, acoustic instruments and computer interactivity to create a multidimensional performance of sound and space in the heart of Indianapolis' City Market Catacombs on Oct. 25.
IUPUI Day of Caring
The United Way Day of Caring is an opportunity for students to connect with the Indianapolis community and show that the Jaguars care.
Each fall, IUPUI partners with United Way to host Day of Caring -- taking place Oct. 29 this year -- to engage students, faculty and staff in service with the Indianapolis community. Volunteers impact many nonprofit organizations and the community by helping complete projects the organization might not have enough time, staff or money to address.
United Way Dessert Showcase and Silent Auction
On Oct. 31, come celebrate our campaign efforts and help us wrap up the 2016 campaign at this year’s event, which will include a Fall Dessert Showcase and a silent auction. There will be various fall-themed delicious desserts and fabulous items to bid on at our silent auction.
Some of the items up for auction include a stay at a Sanibel Island, Florida, condo; framed original artwork; handmade pottery; gift baskets (coffee/tea, bath products, wine, office supplies, laptop case); and much more. Visit IUPUI United Way Auction on Facebook for pictures of items in the auction. The silent auction will open at 11 a.m. and close at 1 p.m. We will announce winning bids at the conclusion of the auction. All proceeds will go to United Way of Central Indiana and will count toward our 2016 IUPUI United Way Giving Campaign!
