Celebrating IUPUI's first new residence hall

IUPUI's new residence hall, North Hall, was officially dedicated Sept. 7. The residence hall, which boasts a capacity of 700 students, opened in August to its first group of student residents. Take a sneak peek inside.
IUPUI welcomed President Michael McRobbie and the Indiana University Board of Trustees for a day of celebration at the North Hall dedication ceremony.
President McRobbie, Chancellor Nasser Paydar and company made their way to North Hall to begin a tour of IUPUI's first newly constructed traditional residence hall.
President McRobbie surveyed North Hall and the campus views from its many windows.
The group toured a current student's room to get firsthand insight into the experience of living in North Hall.
President McRobbie addressed the crowd during North Hall's dedication ceremony, which took place at Hine Hall.
Student representative Marilla Miller provided remarks during the dedication ceremony.
Tralicia Lewis, interim vice chancellor for student affairs, provided insight into the impact North Hall will have on IUPUI students.
The IUPUI Guitar Ensemble provided entertainment during the ceremony.
President McRobbie accepted the ceremonial key from Trustee MaryEllen Bishop and congratulations from Gary A. Voirol, vice president and secretary of MSKTD & Associates Inc., the architects on the project.
