Fans lined the shores of the Downtown Canal, where there were plenty of tents to visit for information and Regatta souvenirs.
The action was nonstop throughout the heats and into the finals.
The Battleship competition was also intense -- and wet!
Not all of the teams had smooth trips up and down the Downtown Canal.
Fraternities and sororities have become key participants in Regatta.
Students from many backgrounds and all over campus enjoyed the September tradition.
The family fun area at the south end of the course, near the USS Indianapolis Memorial, was filled with laughter and more than a few shrieks from kids having a great time.
Win or lose, members of competing teams often flashed smiles after finishing their run.
Costumes of all sorts have become a staple of Regatta along both sides of the Downtown Canal.
Success is meant to be celebrated.
