Josh Kaufman has won "The Voice."

Kaufman, a 2003 philosophy graduate from the School of Liberal Arts at IUPUI, won the big prize in the May 20 finale of NBC's "The Voice."

The three remaining contestants -- Kaufman, Jake Worthington and Christina Grimmie -- stayed hopeful until Tuesday's episode determined the overall winner.

Kaufman has lived in Indianapolis since he moved here to attend IUPUI. Since then, he has started a band, gotten married and had three kids. He also works as a tutor.

But his star turn on "The Voice" has kickstarted his musical career into overdrive. In a previous episode, the judges praised his performance, with Adam Levine telling him he gets "better and better every time time."

To listen to Kaufman, you can download his songs on iTunes or browse his songs on the YouTube channel for "The Voice." You can also watch his acclaimed rendition of "Stay with Me" promoted in Inside IUPUI.

Congratulations to this outstanding IUPUI alum!
