Several new members of IUPUI leadership named

Three top leadership positions at IUPUI have been filled.
Eric A. Weldy appointed vice chancellor for student affairs
Chancellor Nasser H. Paydar has appointed Eric A. Weldy as vice chancellor for student affairs.
Weldy, who was previously vice president for student affairs and enrollment management at Northern Illinois University, assumed his new position at IUPUI on Jan. 2.
As vice chancellor for student affairs, Weldy is the chief student affairs officer and a member of the chancellor's cabinet. He will collaborate with other leaders across campus to advance the mission of IUPUI to provide quality co-curricular programs and services that facilitate intellectual growth and personal development, creating pathways to success for all students.
Weldy leads the Division of Student Affairs, which consists of nine units: Campus Center and Student Experiences, Campus Recreation, Counseling and Psychological Services, Educational Partnerships and Student Success, Health and Wellness Promotion, Housing and Residence Life, Student Advocacy and Support, Student Health Services, and Student Conduct.
Camy Broeker appointed vice chancellor for finance and administration
Chancellor Paydar has appointed Camy Broeker as vice chancellor for finance and administration, following a national search.
Broeker, associate vice chancellor for finance since 2008, assumed her new position Jan. 1. She has served as the interim vice chancellor for finance and administration since October 2015.
As vice chancellor for finance and administration, Broeker will be responsible for financial oversight of the campus and its approximately $1.3 billion operating budget. Her responsibilities will include planning, managing and evaluating the campus operations of Administrative Services, Auxiliary Services, Budget, Bursar, Financial Services, Campus Facility Services, Parking Services and Human Resources. The vice chancellor also serves as liaison to university administration in the areas of Public Safety, Purchasing, and Environmental Health and Safety for the campus. She will provide campus oversight for emergency management and continuity of operations.
Jay Gladden appointed associate vice chancellor for undergraduate education and dean of University College
Executive Vice Chancellor and Chief Academic Officer Kathy E. Johnson has announced the appointment of James "Jay" Gladden as associate vice chancellor for undergraduate education and dean of University College.
Gladden, dean of the School of Physical Education and Tourism Management since 2009, will assume his new position Feb. 1.
As associate vice chancellor for undergraduate education, Gladden will provide leadership for campuswide student-success programs and initiatives, promoting a culture of undergraduate persistence and achievement. He will manage programs that serve students throughout their undergraduate experience, ensuring such programs meet current and future needs of students.
As dean of University College, Gladden will head the unit that serves students from the time of orientation through their entry into degree programs at IUPUI.
