Indiana's team is back and ready to roll for its fourth season at Michael A. Carroll Stadium on the campus of Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. The IUPUI Jaguars will welcome the Indy Eleven back for its first home game of the season on Saturday, April 1, at 3 p.m. as it faces Puerto Rico FC. The regular season begins March 25 in San Francisco.

The Indy Eleven has seen great success the past three years, including highlights such as selling out 14 home games of its 2014 inaugural season, completing its third season undefeated and appearing in the 2016 season championship game.

The team's popularity has offered IUPUI the opportunity to interact with thousands of soccer fans and introduce them to the campus; in turn, the team utilizes the sports facility with seating available for 10,000.

IUPUI’s partnership with the Indy Eleven was a deliberate strategy to build greater visibility for IUPUI, to deepen its collaborations with the city of Indianapolis and to further enhance the connection between the city and the campus.

Mark Volpatti, the interim associate vice chancellor of auxiliary services at IUPUI, commented on the benefits of a relationship between the university and the professional sports team.

"I am thrilled that IUPUI continues our partnership with Indy Eleven as it enters its fourth year. Knowing that our campus had the venue and the commitment to collaborate with Indy Eleven to bring professional soccer to Indianapolis has been a source of great pride for our community. It allows IUPUI another opportunity to be a community partner, support the local economy and be a welcoming campus."

IUPUI lots 63, 59 and 80, all along New York Street and flanking the Barnhill Garage, have been designated as Indy Eleven parking. For Indy Eleven home games, those with current IUPUI ST and EM parking permits will have the option to park in the Vermont Street garage, also north of New York Street.

The 2017 Indy Eleven season includes 16 home games. All games at Carroll Stadium are to begin at 7:30 p.m., including one Wednesday-night game on Sept. 13. Students and staff will be advised in advance to seek alternative parking, as IUPUI parking lots will be set aside at 7 p.m. the night before each home game to ensure lots are available for game-day parking.

Game-day information will be posted on the Parking Services website and on JagTV, as well as in future editions of Inside IUPUI and JagNews. Be sure to follow @IUPUIpark and @IUPUI on Twitter for Indy Eleven parking updates.
